Red Tape Urban Wear

Drawing inspiration from 2000's advertisements

This exploration of photography and graphic design references the late 2000's adverts by Red Tape Urban Wear. Red Tape shoes was conceptualised as a lifestyle brand for the aspiring and ambitious Generation Next. The brand first took off in 1996, when RedTape became ‘one of the first Indian footwear brands to be available in the leading and discerning global markets of UK.’
(Below, the original reference adverts)

The shoot was produced using 10-22mm, 50mm and fish-eye lenses, with a focus on footwear. Using a car as a prop rather than the focus - I produced inspired imagery using Nike Air Max Tuned. From the shoot, i pushed the outcomes into  a process of digital manipulation on Adobe Photoshop. The references to Red Tape adverts should be clear, with heightened, dream-like visuals.

This work pushed my creative direction, photography and graphic design skills.
