'You're only as old as you feel.'

Serving as the main attraction for my Fashion Communication and Promotion final major project, I have produced and directed a moving image short film which marries together two unique industries.


The fashion and automotive industries have a connection which spans back decades, with this proposed collaboration between Stussy and Volkswagen, I have showcased how the two iconic, powerhouse brands have a connection which runs deeply throughout their ideals and aesthetics.


The tagline, 'You're only as old as you feel' is a nod towards the concept of true enthusiasts within both brands never meeting a finish line, never growing out of their obsession and connection. As well as this, it hints to the usage of classic Volkswagen cars being modified and reimagined to give a totally new lease of life, old cars can feel new if they are given time and attention. Similarly, a selection of new and vintage 80's and 90's Stussy clothing has been showcased, blending cohesively together, further emphasising the idea that age is a feeling. 'Classic and contemporary' examples of the brand being married together so seamlessly in certain shots reenforces this message effectively.
